In 2008, Mechanicsburg brought to life the Mechanicsburg Earth Day Festival.  A first for the town and the first official earth day celebration in Cumberland, York, and Lancaster counties. Central Pennsylvanians merged to Mechanicsburg for the event.

In 2009, the festival doubled its attendance, sponsors and reached national attention with recognition from the United Nations, support from Aquafina, and national sponsorship with Good Earth Coffee.

This year, we are excited to grow again - - and with you!

The 2010 event will feature live music, 5k run, green vendors, student poster contest, kids crafts, vendors, organic fashion show, international green film festival and much more.  And we will be celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day.
